Abisko and Bjorkliden
This package takes you 250km north into the Arctic circle the small village of Bjorkliden, situated on the outskirts of the Abisko National Park in northern Sweden. It has long been a favourite with nature-loving Swedes with great views across the Lapporten mountain range and the pristine Lake Torneträsk. It’s also considered one of the best places in the world to go aurora hunting with it being almost completely free from light pollution. With a wide variety of activities on offer as well as great food in the restaurant and bar this is a great destination for those looking to combine the Northern Lights with a great winter holiday.
Accommodation
There are three types of accommodation available to choose, from stylish hotel rooms and luxury self catering cabins to large log cabins suitable for up to 10 people. All types of accommodation are available with the option of breakfast, half board or full board.
Kappas Cabin
These 2 bedroomed, well appointed private chalets are equipped with kitchen including hob, oven/microwave and dishwasher. All chalets have a sauna and balcony and are a short walk away from the hotel bars and restaurants. Skiers are well catered for with purpose built ski storage cupboards. All chalets have TVs and individually controlled heating. Breakfast, half board and full board options are available on request.
Hotel Rooms
These well appointed premium hotel rooms offer all the facilities and comforts required for a great stay, with single, double and family rooms available. Situated in the heart of the hotel these rooms are close to all the facilities, including the cafe reception area, sports desk and restaurant. Half board and full board options are available on request.

Lights Over Lapland, Nightly Photo Tour
Join photographer Chad Blakley for an opportunity to see and photograph the aurora borealis in the wilderness of Abisko National Park. Provided with a high quality camera & lens you will be taught the skills required to find and photograph the magical aurora borealis. Even if you have never used a camera before you will have an extremely high chance of going home with beautiful aurora photographs and memories that will last a lifetime! Small groups ensure a very personal and genuine experience.
The Aurora Sky Station
Take this chairlift up to the world famous Aurora Sky Station. This mountain station offers one of the best possible views of the Northern Lights and the night sky. As your eyes gradually get used to the completely dark skies you will see more stars than ever before.
Snowmobile Tour
Whiz through the frozen wilderness and admire the snowy mountains. Your guide will take you to one of the pearls in Björkliden’s crown where you make a short stop.
Låktatjåkko Mountain Lodge trip
Travelling by Snowcat or snowmobile with sled travel up to Låktatjåkko Mountain station. A true must for everyone who visits.
Ski/Snowboard Lesson
Discover that it is always possible to learn something new, develop new skills and have fun at the same time.
Mushers joy dog sledding trip
Be a musher of your own dog team for a while! In Alaska, where dog sledding originated, the drivers of the sleds are called “mushers”. To drive a dog sled is know as “mushing”. Mushing is a great experience. Exciting, fast and fun way to enjoy the natural surroundings.
Alaska Trapper Tour dog sledding trip
This tour takes you back in time and informs you of the origins of dog sledding. Comfortably leaning back in a big sled, you get answers to all your questions concerning the reasons why yesteryear’s postal deliverers, explorers and hunters chose dog sledding as their preferred mode of transport in the winter wilderness.
Flights
Flights to your chosen destination are not included in your package. However we will always include details of the most suitable flights in our opinion to match your tailor-made itinerary. We cooperate with dial-a-flight to assist you in making your flight bookings. However, flights can be booked independently and through your choice of carrier which increases flexibility and allows you to continue to travel with your preferred airlines.

Set Date Trips
Each season we run a number of set date guided trips for singles, couples or friends to join. Our set date groups never have more than 6 people and you will always have a private room or cabin. Over the years they have proven extremely popular with our guests and having such small groups ensures you get a personal service throughout your stay. Whether you are a little nervous when travelling, need special assistance or just want the reassurance and luxury of a personal guide the set date trips are an excellent choice.
